Your first project, finished— not just started.

Describe what you want in plain words. Forge sets up the project and keeps track of it as you go — for the real, production-quality code, pair it with Claude Code, which Forge feeds everything it needs automatically. Forge also works fully on its own for quick starts and sketches, and never runs code on your machine without asking. No subscription — runs free on your own computer.

  • Free in beta
  • Runs offline
  • Files never uploaded

Token efficiency

Surgical diffs, not full-file rewrites

Paste a 500-line file into a chat window and the model reads all of it, then writes all of it back. Forge's multi_file_apply asks for a targeted SEARCH/REPLACE block instead — the model only sees and writes the lines that actually change. Syntax and sandbox checks run locally, for free, before anything touches disk.

No GPU required

Forge's file search, indexing, and syntax checks run locally on CPU. If you add a cloud key, the reasoning happens on their servers, not yours — your laptop only needs to run the editor and the sandbox.

Built for speed. Designed for control.

Whether you're launching your first app or skipping boilerplate on your hundredth, Forge adapts to you.

For people with an idea

Forge guides you like a senior developer

You don't know what a database or routing is yet, and that's fine. Forge asks the questions you'd forget to ask yourself — "Will users need to log in? How will they pay?" — then builds the structure for you. A safety check runs before anything executes, so a wrong guess never crashes your first project.

Forge's own answers are great for a quick start — for a finished, production-quality app, open the project it created in Claude Code and keep building there; Forge keeps feeding it everything it needs.

Does it need logins? How do clients book?

For people who already code

A 10-second console for Claude Code

Skip the boilerplate. Forge generates a clean, SOLID-principled architecture skeleton in seconds — auth, database, routes — so you can go straight to the logic that's actually yours. A sealed local sandbox is there when you want to test something you don't fully trust yet.

This is how you get a full, production-quality project: pair Forge with Claude Code pointed at the folder Forge created — it requires a Claude Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise, or Console account.

Your code. Your machine. Zero cloud leaks.

Most AI tools assume you already know what to ask. Forge starts from your idea instead — fills in what you'd forget, skips what you'd rather not type, and never sends your work anywhere without asking.

Forge's edit pipeline: plan, targeted diff, syntax check, sandbox verify

Atomic Multi-File Diff Engine

Every edit is a targeted SEARCH/REPLACE block, verified to match uniquely before it touches disk — never a full-file rewrite. Syntax and import checks run locally, for free, before anything is written. If the block doesn't match cleanly, the edit is rejected, not guessed.

100% Offline, or Bring Your Own Key

Runs on local Ollama by default — zero cost, nothing leaves your machine. Add one API key for the cloud provider you prefer (Claude, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, or Ollama Cloud) and Forge uses it for that task. No subscription, no forced routing — your key, your provider. Stored in a local encrypted vault (Fernet, machine-tied key), never a cloud account.

Plans, Writes, Reviews — Then Checks Its Own Work

Forge breaks complex requests into research, planning, coding, and review steps — not one blind guess. It reads your files before writing, catches its own mistakes in a review pass, and remembers what didn't work last time so it doesn't repeat it.

PEP 578 Isolated Sandbox

When you want to test generated code, Forge runs it behind a real CPython audit hook (sys.addaudithook, PEP 578) — a sealed process that can't touch your other files, can't reach the network, and can't install anything. You always see what it wrote and decide when to run it.

Head to head

See how Forge actually compares

Chat tools answer questions. Cloud app builders scaffold a project, but keep it on their servers. Forge does the scaffolding on your own machine.

See it work

Say it. Watch it build.

Type a plain sentence. Forge turns it into a real project — starter code, folder structure, everything checked and ready for you to review before anything runs.

Generated code is checked for syntax errors and missing imports before you ever see it. If you want to test it, Forge runs it in a sandbox — a sealed box that can't touch your other files, can't access the internet, and can't install anything. You're always in control.

Example, not a live run — download Forge to build for real.

Step 1 — Forge builds it
Axonris Forge, on your machine
you type

"an app for my dog-walking business"

  • ✓ app.py Flask starter, routes for bookings
  • ✓ models.py Dog + Booking tables
  • ✓ templates/booking.html
  • syntax OK · imports OK · 0 issues — review before running
Step 2 — if you choose to run it
Sandbox
Isolated sandbox: code and processes run contained inside a boundary, the rest of the system untouched

Sealed off from the rest of your machine — no other files, no network, nothing installed. You decide when this step happens, if at all.

THE BLACKSMITH'S OATH

Four rules Forge never breaks

Never guess architecture in silence

When a request describes several large, unrelated features at once, Forge plans just the first phase and tells you why — instead of quietly guessing at all of it in one shot.

Never overwrite without an undo

Every batch of edits is backed up before it's written. One click restores the exact previous state if something goes wrong.

Never send your code to a black box

Local by default. If you add a cloud key, it's your key, to a provider you picked — never a hidden third party.

Never burn your budget on a runaway loop

Every agent role runs inside a bounded tool loop with a hard step limit — not an open-ended conversation that can spiral.

Questions

Is Axonris Forge free?

Yes, free during beta. No credit card, no subscription to start.

Does it work without internet?

Yes — tasks routed to the local Ollama engine run fully offline. Internet is only used if you add your own key for a cloud provider (Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, Anthropic Claude, or Ollama Cloud — pick one) for harder tasks.

Where do my API keys go?

Stored encrypted on your own machine. Axonris never sees or stores them.

Do I need a paid Claude account?

No. Forge runs free out of the box on local Ollama, or with a free-tier key from Gemini or Groq if you want more reasoning power. Claude is one of several optional BYOK providers, not a requirement.

Do I need an account to use Forge?

Yes — Forge requires a free Axonris account, and you need to sign in from first launch, including during alpha/beta. This is the security and access layer we're building toward a paid subscription, not just a website extra.

What Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11.

How is this different from just using ChatGPT or Copilot?

ChatGPT gives you an answer. Forge gives you a project. It doesn't wait for the right question — it asks YOU the questions a senior developer would ask, plans the work in research, build, and review steps, and checks its own output before handing it back to you. Free, offline, your machine.

I've never written code before — is this for me?

Yes. Forge doesn't expect you to know any programming language. Describe your idea in plain words, and it handles the technical decisions. If you later want to learn what it generated, every file is plain text you can open and read.
